When it comes to product naming, you have to be really careful not to offend anyone. I found these “oreo-like” cookies at my local Turkish grocer today.

study it, and not give all my free time to undictionarial readings,

➲ Google Translate: rebuilt and refreshed, more accurate

The Big G is always working on something new and useful, and they often work on making their current products even better. Google Translate, which was always less-than-accurate (sometimes even ridiculously wrong) in the past, has been completely reworked, taking advantage of raw text data of millions of documents in many many languages. The result is a surprisingly accurate translation site for short phrases and sentences, as well as whole websites.

Check it out, but don’t forget to translate back and forth a few times just to be safe.

If you are living in Germany and haven’t yet heard about the LEO project of online German <> English translation and dictionaries, then this link will change your life. LEO is the biggest thing to happen to German foreign language dictionaries since Langenscheidt, and for German speakers wanting an accurate English (or other language) translation, it is a huge help.

Check it out.
